Chasing Dreams Article

Some dreams fall into place while others fall out… Are some dreams a waste of time? How do you know? Which dreams should you hunt and which should you destroy?

I meet a lot of clients who reach the middle of their lives and aren’t quite sure if they went the right way. I meet an equal amount of people who are gifted with a hidden talent that they have been too afraid to pursue and then there are those that are really hunting the wrong dreams, they are exhausted and feel depressed or victimized. This prompted me to write this post…

We all get stuck at some point chasing a dream that eludes us. Equally hard is the dream we are in a quandary about letting go. But the worst kind of dream is the one that is letting us go because we have been too afraid, or too lazy, to pursue it.

Dreams are the embodiment of hope, and hope, being the last thing in pandora’s box, is essential to life. Without hope, you wouldn’t waste your time getting up in the morning. Because if you had no hope, what would the point be? You get up because you have hope. Duty alone can not do this. Dreams are important, they are the souls blood, without them we would slowly die. Hope and dreams or the stuff of life’s blood. They keep us striving. They fuel us with passion.

There are different types of dreams. Those you should quickly drop, those you should hotly pursue and those you should spend some more time pondering on. Depending on which type of dream you have, you will be able to see what you should be doing with your dream.
Dreams that fall into the category of the ‘unlived life of your parents’ or society are the most unhealthy kind. These are empty dreams where we strive to please other people. We pursue these dreams so that society will accept us and we will accept ourselves. In psychology terms, we are driven by persona identification.
Nothing outside of yourself will ever make you feel good enough or like you belong- only you can do that. These types of dreams are energy suckers. They are not full of meaning, life blood or mana- soul food. But, like all dreams they are full of hope, that is what is confusing. You can be full of hope that if you become that amazing doctor daddy wants you to be, that he will then love you and accept you, but this is daddy’s dream, and it can only feed daddy. The point of this life is to feed you. Daddy, granny, society or whoever it may be, have their own lives.

Then there are the rich dreams; these dreams feed your soul because they are born from it.
They are powerful and can keep you real and true to what’s important to you. Hunt these dreams! They are life blood. But be aware, persona identification can make you too afraid to follow these.
Dreams that truly inspire and move your soul feel different to mundane dreams. These dreams are scary because they can change you. They are the ones you will hear the loudest mental resistance from. But fear is the best indicator that you have found something full of life and real, “Travel in the direction of your fear” said and unknown author and I agree. Pursue your real dreams bravely and they will impassion you, just don’t quit your day job till your dream takes shape!

There are many destinies that are symbolized in your chart. Few of us are meant to pursue one destiny and no others. People are filled with potentials and while it is true that we may not have enough time to fulfill them all. We must fulfill enough to keep us impassioned and inspired with life. Astrology can highlight your latent creativity your talent at writing or music that you never persuade. Starting to play the piano at fifty is better than regretting never trying at eighty-five.

‘So come with me where dreams are born and time is never planned…’ Let Astrology find which dreams you should be pursuing or leaving behind…
